Thornton, Proviso Township Democrats endorse Cheryle Jackson for U. S. Senate

The Thornton and Proviso Township Regular Democratic Organizations have endorsed Cheryle Jackson for U. S. Senate in the Illinois Primary Election on February 2, 2010. Proviso and Thornton are the two largest townships in Illinois. Jackson was also endorsed by the South Suburban Mayors Task Force this week.

Thornton Township is the strongest in Cook County when it comes to voter turnout. Thornton voters cast 41,000 ballots in the 2008 Primary Election.

Jackson is also endorsed by EMILY’s List, the Women’s Campaign Fund, the Cook County Democratic Women, a coalition of pastors representing the Chicago area’s largest churches with congregations that total more than 200,000 people, Congressman Danny Davis, and Congressman Bobby Rush.
