Cheryle Jackson, Illinois Senate hopeful, on why she worked for, quit Blagojevich

WASHINGTON -- Democratic Senate hopeful Cheryle Jackson and I talked Sunday about why she went to work for Gov. Rod Blagojevich as his spokeswoman -- and why she left his administration during his first term when she realized Blagojevich was making decisions "based on personal benefit."

I support Ms. Jackson because we share a lot in common. For starters, we both have autoimmune disorders but we don't let that stand in the way our ambitions to become the best we can be. She is very passionate in helping others in areas that are ignored or overlooked such as endorsing affordable health care and the condition of public schools and empowerment of African Americans obtaining or maintaining small businesses. This is the season for the African American woman and Ms. Jackson is a perfect candidate for the position once held by Chicago's own Barack Obama!
